Ray Goff —

Managing Partner

Rayinvineyard.jpg Managing Partner Ray Goff and his wife, Diana, were introduced to fine wine in the 1970s, and immediately they were smitten. Over the years, they became loyal fans of great wineries, particularly those in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

However, in the late 1980s, their focus... and their passion... shifted to Washington state wines. They found themselves particularly drawn to Walla Walla wines, and they secretly discussed their dreams of owning a winery there someday.

Ray retired in the late 1990s after 35 years tenure at Anheuser-Busch. While at A-B, he served on the policy committee as a Senior Vice President, managed the company's expansion into China, and served as President of the company's agricultural subsidiary. Ironically, it was his involvement in agriculture -- specifically hops purchasing -- that led him to Washington State wines. One of his top hops growers was a man named Mike Hogue, one of the founders of Hogue Winery. Mike and Ray became close friends, and Mike helped Ray and Diana realize their dream of owning a winery in Walla Walla by introducing them to key wine growers and winemakers in the state.

Ray and Diana are also partners in Pepper Bridge Winery, another Walla Walla Valley winery.   They  now divide their time between their home in Walla Walla and their north-central Montana ranch.
